IDA THE YOUNG (indie-folk)

The soothing voice of singer Iris Hobson-Mazur combined with the imaginative guitar of Mark Koliha are the basic musical ingredients of this indie-folk sensation from Pilsen. Last year's EP "Strange Shaped Flowers" caught the attention with its dynamic sound and timeless melodies. This year's EP "Silver Thing" combines the subtlety of acoustic instruments and narrative style of singing with electronics that come to life under the hands of Pavel Kielberger. DARREN EVE (soul-pop-rock)

The band was formed by Darren Eve (vocals and guitar, UK) and Nikos Mistakidis (drums, GR), taking their name from the singer (who is still not sure). They released the album 'Darren Eve and Nikos Mistakidis' on Piper Records after appearing on Radio Wave's Czech Radio station and starting to tour club gigs across Northern Europe. Their current line-up features bassist Zdenek (Wlk) Vlcek and together they have formed a tight and rhythmically exciting trio.
