Xavier Baumaxa is a North Bohemian crossover weirdo of a regional character, his frozen parody of creativity reminiscent of seedy underground nincompoops who reinforce each other in their resistance to everything popular and new through their common, continuous, historical failure. He builds his image on the fact that it doesn't seem to matter that he has never won any awards, which in the eyes of his fellow losers only confirms his status as a solitaire and exceptional generational truth-teller.
Four years after his last release "F!ASCO", Xavier Baumaxa releases his eleventh full-length album "SLIBOTECHNO" in collaboration with Jan Čechtický and Miroslav Lack (Ohm Square). It's not just about electronica this time, Slibotechno is a mixture of styles - from gospel, ambient, disco, funk, cantilena, techno, brit-pop to gypsy halgato. Most of the tracks are wrapped in electronic garb, but unlike the previous F!asco, it's a varied mix of musical styles that the creators have honed to perfection. The link, guide and a kind of uncle Pepin of the whole album is Karel Gott, who always advises at the right moment how to do it, helps his fellow man with his glosses and we are all lucky that he is passing by. The musical chameleon Baumaxa is not resting on his laurels and with his new release "SLIBOTECHNO" he once again strikes a match in the ears of the conservative listener.
