Totální nasazení was formed in 1900 from the punk-metal band Dehöt, which consisted of classmates from the Slaný high school. They released their debut album, Stínohry? (Shadow Plays?), in 1995 and immediately ceased to be just a regional band. They began touring throughout the country and recorded three more albums: Pocta době (Tribute to the Times), Souhlasíš se vším? (Do You Agree with Everything?) and Spreyopithecus chaluhensis.
Totáči entered the new millennium with the CD "Crabalaganja," which was a great success, and the number of concerts increased even more to an average of eighty to ninety performances per year. The band is in high demand, touring relentlessly, recording several music videos and more albums – "Když mrvy na šichtu táhnou" (When the Guys Head to Work) and "Krokodýl Ghandee" (Crocodile Ghandee). At that time, Totální nasazení plays a hundred concerts a year in clubs and at festivals, with demand far exceeding supply. In 2015, the compilation album "25 let Černobílý svět" (25 Years of Black and White World) was released, and the band prepared to celebrate its quarter-century anniversary, recording material for their live DVD. With a new four-member lineup, Totální nasazení recorded a new album, "Kazoo or die!", in January 2019.
They currently perform as a trio consisting of Sváťa, P. P. Cvok, and Martin. At the end of September, Totální nasazení finished recording material for a new album entitled "Gerontosaurus senilis," which will be released in February 2026.
