The indie rock band The Prostitutes will play two exclusive concerts this fall in Brno and Olomouc, where they will perform not only their classic hits and songs from the album *Inevitably Delayed* but also a brand-new song, “Dancing in the Sun.” This is the first single from their upcoming album, which is set to be released in the spring of 2027. The single, along with its music video, will be released before the end of this year. The fall concerts will thus be a unique opportunity to hear the new song before it appears on streaming platforms.
The Prostitutes is a Czech indie rock band that formed in 2004 in Prague.
The band became known for its raw sound, inspired by the British post-punk scene, and its energetic live performances. Their debut album, *Get Me Out Of Here* (2006), was a success, winning numerous domestic awards and helping them build a broader fan base. Their second album, *Hometown Zombies* (2009), was one of the highlights of the year and is still cherished by several generations of fans. Their third studio album was produced by Martin Glover, a member of Killing Joke and a collaborator with Paul McCartney, The Cult, and Depeche Mode. The band’s most recent album to date is the site-specific recording *Zum Passer* (2015), recorded in an abandoned hotel in the Ore Mountains. Among their best-known songs are “Sunshine,” “Leave It Like It Is,” and “Heart of Stone.” The band has undergone several lineup changes but has always maintained its distinctive sound.
After thirteen years on the scene, they disbanded in 2017, only to return in 2024 stronger than ever. Following a seven-year hiatus, they got back to work. The band began working on new material in the summer of 2024 and planning club and festival performances. The Prostitutes are now a six-piece band; Ladislav Tobiášek joined on bass to round out the 2017 lineup (Adrian T. Bell, Martin Destroyer, Stevie LFO, LukSantiago, Jan Vegy Táborský). Vegy has now taken up the guitar. Following a sold-out concert at Roxy in February 2025, the band also completed their latest studio album, *Inevitably Delayed*, and is already preparing another studio album for spring 2027.
