Radůza

The professional debut of this leading Czech singer-songwriter is already legendary. In 1993, she was discovered as a street performer by Zuzana Navarová, who introduced her to a wider audience at the shrine of Czech popular music, Prague's Lucerna. Radůza survived this baptism by fire, only to triumph there a few weeks later as the opening act for Suzanne Vega. She had the same honor at Mike Oldfield's Prague concert.

Since then, she has released a number of highly successful solo albums—most of them on her own label, Radůza Records—which break sales records without any advertising. She has also won several golden Anděl awards and scored in the Zlatý slavík poll. Thanks to her uniqueness and original songs, which draw primarily from Czech tradition, she has also attracted audiences abroad, for example in Poland and France. Radůza writes both her own music and lyrics, and accompanies herself on several musical instruments. In October 2023, the year of her milestone birthday, she decided to take stock and released a double album titled Bylo nebylo (Once Upon a Time), which contains a selection of the most successful songs she has composed over her thirty-year career so far. In September 2026, this successful "best of" album is being released on vinyl for the first time.

After many years of successful collaboration with a backing band, she has decided to return to her singer-songwriter roots. She will perform concurrently in a solo program, featuring a cross-section of her work to date as well as brand new songs.
