PRAGO UNION & LIVE BAND

Prago Union is a Prague hip-hop group that has been successfully active on the Czech music scene for more than twenty years. Moreover, it operates in a way that seemingly defies all the rules of the music industry. The band's music is far from mainstream pop music, radios do not play their tracks, the lineup does not present itself with any scandals, and frontman Kato (active since the 1990s in the cult group Chaozz) deliberately avoids the templates of classic celebrities with his image of a "biting toothless poet." Although the world of commercial media and the world of Prago Union completely miss each other, critics worship the band and the fan base is constantly growing. There simply has to be something about Prago Union!

Over two decades, they have profiled themselves into one of the most respected names in domestic rap, which is confirmed by two Anděl Awards for the albums Dezorient Express and V Barvách. The group's rich discography today includes five compilations of unreleased tracks, one live concert album, and ten studio albums. The newest one, titled Nekorektum, was released in May 2026. While in the beginning the formation performed in a classic hip-hop lineup, today Kato is joined in concert by DJ Ramel and a top-notch live instrumental band consisting of Ondra Hauser (bass and bandleader), Tony Dlapa (guitar), Jen Hovorka (keys), and Marek Urbánek (drums).
