The Prague-based alternative electro-rap band Mutanti hledaj východisko (Mutants Looking for a Way Out) doesn't care about rules and clichés, embarking on adventures at the edges of genres and bending the boundaries of the possible and impossible. The core duo consists of classmates from Prague's DAMU, rapper and lyricist Jan Vejražka and Jiří Konvalinka, who is in charge of the instrumental component (also known as the electric violinist in the band Vložte kočku). Their viral hits such as "Du prát," "Klimeš," and "Čau čau čau" have garnered hundreds of thousands of views on social media.
They are now coming out with a darker and more personal album called "Rada starších" (Council of Elders). On this album, Mutanti tackle more serious topics and have shifted their sound towards alternative rock in places, without abandoning dance rhythms, rap, electronica, and pop.
