Lenka Dusilová, nine-time winner of the annual Anděl music awards, is not used to stagnation and repetition. She has been active on the scene since the age of sixteen, when she attracted attention with her energy, experience and excellent voice. At the turn of the millennium she was one of the real stars of the Czech pop rock mainstream. However, in her years of personal maturation she decided to move away from the mainstream of musical entertainment to a more layered style. She has become an extraordinary phenomenon of the Czech music scene, moving from the position of a rock and pop star to a personal expression that freely accepts impulses from various styles and extra-musical experiences.
In November 2020, she released the album Řeka, which is considered one of the records of the year. It has won three Angel Awards (in the categories of album, song and artist of the year). On her long-awaited new album, which comes nine years since her previous solo album, Lenka Dusilová brings new repertoire, a new sound, a new team of collaborators and personal themes. She invited producers from different musical worlds to create the album River: Petr Ostroukhov and beatmaker and electronic magician Aid Kid, who is also active in the band Zvíře jménem podzim. The many layers of colour were created by the contribution of a number of experienced musicians. Monika Načeva and Iva Bittová also sing with Lenka in one of the songs.
Lenka Dusilova, currently, has teamed up with the band Květy, which will accompany her and form a parallel alongside her solo project. You will hear exclusively Lenka Dusilová's work, both repertoire from her new album Řeka and a cross-section of her older work.
