This year, Brno guitar legend Helmut's Stříkačka released their first live album "Kabaret 40" to mark their 40th anniversary. The concert was filmed in the Brno Cabinet of Muses and the concert was also made into a programme for ČT Art.
The group was founded in 1984 by Robert Staniczek as a recessional group at high school. The band participated in various high school and university events throughout the country.
After Rockfest in 1988, the band began touring extensively, which was so time-consuming for some members that a major personnel change occurred in 1990. The band recorded their debut album "Helmut and Hilda" in the Propast studio (Petr Janda), the producer was Ondřej Soukup, the album was released by EMI in 1991.
After a forced health break of several years in 2000, Helmuti revived again. Another crucial year in the modern history is 2005, when the band released the album "Hell Mute" with a rather massive media support from Teco Production, followed by a very successful nationwide tour.
During the spring of 2023 there was another line-up change, which hopefully settled down for a while and now you can see and hear Helmut in the following line-up:
● Robert Staniczek - vocals
● Honza Staniczek - keyboards
● Daniel Šálovský - drums
● Petr Bartonek - guitar
● Veronika Dudova - percussion, vocals
● Tomas Kopal - bass guitar
