Femislam 2024: Women's Slam Poetry Championship

The ninth edition of the Women's Slam Poetry Championship - and again in our Jazz Tibet.

The roster includes only female slammers who have won major competitions this year. They include the great slam stalwarts as well as the four current finalists of the wider Czech slam poetry championship. The audience will determine the Czech slam poetry queen for 2024.

Slamming:

Krala - defending champion from last year and runner-up in the Czech Republic 2023; she advanced to the final of the multi-gender national championship this year from Chomutov

Katuna - winner of three Prague exhibitions, Prostejov native and representative of the densely funny subgenre called "mama slam"

Bradka - an improviser from Brno, this year she won more slams, she advanced to the final after a big battle from Uherské Hradiště

Držgrešle - qualified internationally by winning in Banat; author of mental therapy slams and muse from Janáček Academy Sofie - the North Bohemian native also represents Olomouc thanks to her studies at the Fild; winner of this year's Boleslam slam festival

Anna Kuna - again the queen of the South Bohemian slam, she advanced to the final from Budějovice

Tyč - Prague's discovery of the season, she advanced to the national final convincingly from Liberec
