DEAF HEART AND MAELLA

MAELLA

The Prague-born, London-based dark pop artist and producer makes music that sounds like a Tarantino film on a neon-lit dance floor. Fusing her Slavic roots with the vibrant London scene, her sound mixes dark moody beats with introspective lyrics that explore longing and mental health. She has quickly gained fans at venues like The Windmill Brixton and became a BBC Introducing London artist with her latest EP 'Slow Burn'. She was shortlisted for the Czech Eurovision Song Contest in 2023 and her music has been featured on TV shows such as Netflix's "Geek Girl."

DEAF HEART

Rock band Deaf Heart proves that guitar music can still be exciting. They've decided to dust off the best of rock 'n' roll and serve it up with a modern approach, a good dose of cynicism and a lively live show. The band is fronted by Thomas Lichtag, who returned to the scene after Airfare broke up. Deaf Heart attracted attention with their very first single Blood, which was deployed by Europe 2, where it also scored in the music chart. Both Blood and the next single Red have been played on radio stations Expres and RockZone in addition to Europe 2. For their debut album "Soft Heart Attack", which was released at the end of 2020, the band was nominated as Discovery in the Andel, Ladder music awards and won 2nd place in the Europe 2 music awards. They will release their long-awaited third album in April.
