The singer-songwriter Alen released her debut solo album When Rivers Spill From Their Banks on Polí5 in 2020. She works with intimacy, fragility and remarkable depth in her lyrics and music. From purely piano songs, she is now moving in a more band direction, has also started playing guitar and is accompanied by double bass (David Liber) and drums (Matyáš Hökl) during concerts. In October 2022, Polí5 released their second album, Tma, with Martin E. Kyšperský (Květy) as producer. Alen is also in Lenka Dusilová's band.
Nauzea Orchestra, active since 2007, is one of the stalwarts of the Czech alternative scene. The band released its fifth album Láska last year. It is the first album on which the six-piece present themselves with songs only in their native language and music that naturally breaks away from the post-industrial roots of previous albums such as The Dark Side Of The Raven or Meisterstück Eins. The band now straddles the line between alternative rock, cabaret, alt-country and electronic songwriting.
